Dear City Council members,
You may have noticed that every time you ask for safer bicycle infrastructure, the
city staff responds saying "someday, but not this year". And that's very
convenient for them, but meanwhile people riding bicycles keep on getting
injured: broken arms, concussions, broken jaws.
So first I'd like to thank the CSBID for pushing back on this, and supporting a
faster buildout of protected bicycle lanes on Mass Ave.
And tonight the city council also has a chance to demand that the city move
faster in deploying the infrastructure needed. So, to that end, l'd like to share
just some of the many crashes that happened during this city council term and
were reported to involve injury.
