Wilson, Anthony From: blueglassfall < [email removed]> Sent: Friday, October 18, 2019 1:36 PM To: Wilson, Anthony Comments--Health Environmental Committee Subject: Dear Sir/Madam, As a Cambridge resident living underneath 33L I have many concerns about the noise and environmental impact. Having sat the Steering Committees of both Logan Aircraft Noise Working Group and previously Boston West Fair Skies previously, 1 am well aware of what is at stake to human health. I am also aware that MassPort is in violation of MEPA 61 and that their mandatory reporting is religiously 2 years late. I am deeply disturbed that City Management didn't speak up during the comment period in 2012/13 and take a proactive stance. At this time the City should be pushing back aggressively and working with other towns to ensure that there is fair solution. Noise and pollution based landing fees should be put in place. Without them airlines are incentive to fly their oldest, dirtiest and loudest planes out of Boston--exactly what is happening now. Why isn't MassPort willing to share the aggregated flight data so we can see the altitudes of these planes? This data IS AVAILABLE. They actually send it monthly to a company to sort/scrub and return back in a view-able format. The city should also be demanding better solutions to the increased air traffic at logan---it makes NO sense to have most of the state driving into Boston for flights. Worcester airport usage should be expanded and there should be high speed rail options. I would encourage City Management to watch this film. https://vimeo.com/194858726 I would also strongly encourage you to reach out to Darryle Pomicter, former President of the Logan CAC. https://www.linkedin.com/in/darryl-pomicter-97ba2b6/ LST, Dudley Street (withholding name as I work in Aerospace industry)
