In response to Awaiting Report Item Number 08-35, report on the status of the Rodent Task Force, Public Works Commissioner Lisa Peterson reports the following:

The Rodent Task Force has been appointed and began meeting monthly in January.  The Task Force includes community representatives, city staff from the Departments of Public Works, Public Health and Inspectional Services, the Director of Management from the Cambridge Housing Authority and a rodent expert from

.  The Task Force is reviewing City practices, ways of engaging residents, businesses and property owners in rodent control efforts, and available complaint and enforcement data with the view in mind of making recommendations on improvements to current rodent control efforts.
