WHEREAS: A petition has been received from Deo Tumwine, President of Diaspora Investment Association, Inc. doing business as Horizon Bus Lines, 24 Crescent Street, Suite 307, Waltham, MA 02453, requesting a jitney license to operate a shuttle services between Massachusetts and New York with a stop in Cambridge at the Alewife MBTA Station on a regular basis from 7:30 am to 11:40 pm Monday to Sunday; and

WHEREAS: In accordance with the provisions of Section 5.20.360(b) of Chapter 5.26 of the Municipal Code of Cambridge, a hearing was held on November 26, 2013 with said License Commission and their recommendation was transmitted by the City Manager to the City Council at their meeting of December 16, 2013; now therefore be it

ORDERED: That at the City Council meeting of December 16, 2013 the City Council accepted the recommendations of the License Commission to approve the jitney license for a shuttle service from Massachusetts to New York from Deo Tumwine, President, Diaspora Investment Association, Inc. doing business as Horizon Bus Line over public ways in the City of Cambridge pursuant to Chapter 159A of the Massachusetts General Laws, as follows:
