WHEREAS: Laundromats in Cambridge and Boston appear to be disappearing at an alarming rate; and
WHEREAS: Recently it has come to public attention that the laundromat on Western Avenue will permanently close; now therefore be it
ORDERED: That the City Manager be and hereby is requested to confer with the Assistant City Manager for Community Development to investigate and report on why local laundromats appear to be fading from the human picture and how such businesses could be attracted and retained.
