Zoning Petition Zoning Petition by Charles Franklin et. al., to amend the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Cambridge by reclassifying all land currently in Residence A-1 and A-2 as being in a newly created Residence A District, eliminate Residence C-1 and Business C-1 district, and reclassify all land currently zoned Residence B in “Neighborhoods 4, 5, and 6” to Residence C. The Petition further amends Articles 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 17, 20, and 21 of the Zoning Ordinance by establishing new (and amending existing) use, accessory use and dimensional standards for Residence A, Residence B and C districts, Business A, A-1, A-2, A-3, B, and C districts; and by amending current standards for Nonconformities in Article 8, Townhouse Development and Affordable Housing Overlay standards in Article 11; and makes changes to the dimensional standards for development in the Harvard Square, Massachusetts Avenue, Prospect Street and Central Square Overlay Districts, among other language edits throughout the Zoning Ordinance.
