CAMBRIDGE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC City of Cambridge Department of Public Works Owen O’Riordan, Commissioner 147 Hampshire Street Cambridge, MA 02139 theworks@cambridgema.gov voice: [phone removed] tdd: [phone removed] TO: Cambridge City Council FROM: Brian McLane, PE – Supervising Engineer DATE: September 20, 2021 RE: Change in Design for Curb Cut at 851 Cambridge Street. The curb cut application for 851 Cambridge Street was originally submitted as a 34-foot-wide curb opening. Through the review process this was shown to be out of conformance with the neighborhood and use of the site. A new drawing was submitted for review showing a revised curb opening of 15-feet and was approved under permit number 106676. The application needs to be amended to show a curb length of 15-feet and a width of 6.9-feet for an area of 103.5-square feet on City Right-of-Way. Thank You, Brian McLane Supervising Engineer Department of Public Works Streets and Sewer Division
