cases decreased in the city last week, cases in the county remain high.

CPHD and city partners administered 1,997 flu shots
and 183 COVID-19 vaccines at the October clinics.
Other Updates

Testing
●
To meet anticipated increased demand for COVID-19 testing
during the holiday season, the City/CPHD are meeting with
CIC on Wednesday, November 3 to plan expanding the city’s
program to 5 days a week.
●
In October, the city-run testing sites administered 11,020
tests, averaging 689 tests a session.
Case Investigation and Contact Tracing
●
With the closure of the state-contracted Community Tracing
Collaborative in December, municipalities will assume full
responsibility for case investigation and contact tracing.
●
Cambridge, in partnership with Chelsea, Revere, and
Winthrop, was awarded a state grant to hire several case
investigators and contract tracers to assist the four
communities.
