Attachments shall be made with proper hardware and shall only be attached with non-corrosive metal clamps or brackets. 2. Banners attached to poles shall not exceed a total of 1800 square inches, approximately 18 inches x 48 inches, 24 inches x 36 inches, 24 inches x 48, or 30 inches x 60 inches. The actual size is subject to required clearances. 3. Banners cannot be attached to wood utility poles. 4. Banners shall have a minimum clearance of: a. 16 feet over a roadway b. 12 feet over a sidewalk 5. Banners shall not interfere with or obstruct, or otherwise block any roadway signs, lighting, or traffic signals. 6. The City reserves the right to remove, or order to be removed any banner deemed unsafe, not properly installed, or creating a hazard and the applicant may be subject to costs. 7. An applicant must provide a description of the materials the banner is made of, method of attachment, and means of installation (contractor name and contact information). CITY OF CAMBRIDGE BUDGET OFFICE Taha Jennings, Budget Director Angela Pierre, Deputy Budget Director Dear City Council of Cambridge, On behalf of the Cambridge Budget Office, I am writing to apply for new banners on lamp posts between Prospect Street and Trowbridge Street on Massachusetts Avenue: • Even side of the street - 102 ½, 102, 100, 98, 96, 94, 92, 90 ½, 86, 82, 80, M-128, M116, M-110 • Odd side of the street - 103, 101, 99, 97, 95, 93, 91, M-125, M-113, M-105 + 95 1/2 to encourage Cambridge community members to get involved with the City's 9th Participatory Budgeting process. The banners say "How Would YOU Spend $1,000,000 to improve Cambridge, Real Money, Real Projects, Real Power, Participatory Budgeting, Make your voice heard today at cambridgema.gov/yourbudget" with our PB logo and the City seal. We intend to have the Electrical Department attach the banners this June and remove them in December 2022.
