Included are the following information: • Routes grouped by bus hub • Key destination for each route • Counts of riders from 2019 • Count of riders from 2022 • Demographic information from MBTA ridership survey in 2015-2017
MBTA Information City of Cambridge - Community Development Department March 2022 3 MBTA Systemwide Survey • Conducted 2015-2017 for all MBTA services – bus, subway, commuter rail, and ferry • Collected information on trips, fares, and demographics, including household income, age, race & ethnicity, and availability of cars Definitions • Minority = Race is other than white or Hispanic/Latin • Low-income = Household income is below $43,500 – this is 60% of median household income, that is, roughly 30th percentile for the MBTA region • HH w/0 car = Household with no available vehicle • Reduced fare = Uses either a reduced fare pass or paid per trip on a reduced-fare card
