CAMBRIDGE CITY COUNCIL Quinton Y. Zondervan City Councillor To the Honorable, the City Council: July 28, 2022 Attached you will find some images of a crash that took place in August 2014 at the intersection of Cardinal Medeiros, Bristol, and Binney. The car actually jumped the curb and crashed into my family’s house, which is located right on the corner of the intersection at 235 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue. Fortunately, nobody was hurt as we were not home at the time, and our insurance covered the damages. These images underscore just how long our neighborhood has been waiting for safety improvements to this particular intersection. In fact, I remember that in 2004, when we first moved in, our neighbors warned us about the constant crashes at the intersection. A crash just two weeks ago was so loud that it startled my wife who was sitting in the backyard, and both drivers required medical attention. Immediate action is needed! Sincerely, Quinton Y.
