• Fall planning for mobile clinics for higher risk
residents

Ongoing Recommendations for
Residents
1. Get vaccinated and boosted.
2. Wear a mask indoors when not in your own
home.
3. Test after known exposure, higher-risk settings,
or if you feel symptomatic.
4. Seek treatment quickly if you test positive.

Monkeypox Update
• Contagious illness spread by close contact
• 4,907 confirmed cases in the U.S., 117 in
Massachusetts
• NOT currently widespread in Cambridge
• Rash or sores, with or without flu-like
symptoms

Monkeypox Update, cont.
• Anyone can catch monkeypox with close
contact with infected person
• Prevent spread by avoiding close contact with
individuals with infectious rash, soiled linens
• Vaccination available for people exposed
• CPHD response system underway
