The following are the design base snow and drifted snow loads for the new canopy in
accordance with MSBC 9th Edition and ASCE 7-10:
Base Snow Load: 30 PSF.
Maximum Intensity of Drifted Snow Load: 28 PSF diminishing to 0 PSF at 4.81 feet.
As the cantilevering canopy projects only 3'-4", Odeh Engineers recommends that
the glass be designed for a uniform 53 PSF snow load.
