are holden and stand firmly bound and obligated unto the CITY OF CAMBRIDGE, in said
Commonwealth, in the full and just sum of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000.00) lawful
money of the United States of America, to the payment of which sum, well and truly to be made, we
hereby bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, jointly and
severally firmly by these presents,
THE CONDITION OF THIS OBLIGATION IS SUCH THAT
WHEREAS, by an order of the City Council under date of July 30, 2019, the Commissioner of
Public Works was authorized to grant a permit to East Boston Savings Bank for 1 projecting
sign and 4 awnings at the location of 1739 Massachusetts Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, if the said East Boston Savings Bank shall faith fully observe and keep
each and all the agreements, stipulations, conditions, specification and provisions on his part to be
kept and performed contained in said permit and in each and every extension of the same according
to the full extent and spirit of said permit and the ordinances of the said City now relating or that
may relate thereto, and shall indemnify and save harmless the City of Cambridge from all liabilities,
damages, judgments, loss and expense whatsoever which the City may incur or suffer, arising out of
the issuing of such permit and all extensions of the same, from the construction, maintenance or
operation of said 1 Projecting sign and 4 awnings and shall make no default therein, then this
obligation shall be null and void; other-wise it shall be and remain in full force and effect.
