1 Taylor, Bernice From: Norah Valentine <[email removed]> Sent: Sunday, May 7, 2023 6:37 PM To: City Council Subject: Supporting AHO alternative proposal by Councillors Toner, Mallon, and Nolan, not PO #75 Dear City Councillors,    I write in brief to oppose, strenuously, the AHO revision, which allows a doubling of building heights, as it conƟnues to  not make sense to me financially, ethically, environmentally, aestheƟcally, and in terms of community.  It is  dishearteningly designed and wriƩen.      I am delighted there is an alternaƟve which may take seriously Dennis Carlone’s thoughƞul, imaginaƟve, and well‐ documented offering of rightly‐scaled development of affordable housing, with respect for neighborhoods.  This is a  vexing challenge in vexing Ɵmes but the direcƟon he proposed is grounded in experience and a willingness to deal with  the complexiƟes of human scale development in a crowded city.    Thank you Councillors Toner, Mallon, and Nolan for bringing this.  You have my full support.    Nonie ValenƟne  4 Washington Ave.
