Letter from Vice Mayor McGovern and Councillor Wilson regarding the Human Services and Veterans Committee

CAMBRIDGE CITY COUNCIL Marc C. McGovern City Councillor Dear Madame Mayor and City Council colleagues: As co-chairs of the Human Services and Veteran's Committee, we wanted to provide you with a brief update on issues we plan on taking up in the first half of this term. We are currently in the process of scheduling meetings on the following topics: 1. An update from the City's Opioid Task Force 2. An update from DHSP on efforts to support our unhoused community 3. An update from DHSP regarding after-school expansion and progress toward universal after- school 4. An update from DHSP and the Office of Early Childhood and Cambridge Public Schools on the Universal Pre-K rollout 5. An update from the Office of Veteran's Services Some of these topics may require more than one meeting, but this is our starting point.
