Attachments shall be made with proper hardware and shall only be attached with non-corrosive metal clamps or brackets. 2. Banners attached to poles shall not exceed a total of 1800 square inches, approximately 18 inches x 48 inches, 24 inches x 36 inches, 24 inches x 48, or 30 inches x 60 inches. The actual size is subject to required clearances. 3. Banners cannot be attached to wood utility poles. 4. Banners shall have a minimum clearance of: a. 16 feet over a roadway b. 12 feet over a sidewalk 5. Banners shall not interfere with or obstruct, or otherwise block any roadway signs, lighting, or traffic signals. 6. The City reserves the right to remove, or order to be removed any banner deemed unsafe, not properly installed, or creating a hazard and the applicant may be subject to costs. 7. An applicant must provide a description of the materials the banner is made of, method of attachment, and means of installation (contractor name and contact information). Approved by. The banners would be hung beginning in April 2024 and remain in place until December 31. This request includes a total of 70 poles: Massachusetts Avenue Memorial Drive to Sydney St. inbound: 25 poles Poles MO, M2, M4, M6, M8, M10, M12, M14, M16, M18, M20, M22, M24, M24.5, M26, M28, M30, M32, M34, M36, M48, M50, M54, M56, M58 Sydney St. to Memorial Drive outbound: 25 poles M49.5, M49, M47, M45, M39.5, M35, M33, M31.5, M31, M29, M27, M33.5, M25, M23, M21, M19, M17, M15, M13, M11, M9, M7, M5, M3, M1 Main Street Between Ames St. and the Longfellow Bridge: 20 poles Poles M7O, M68, ?, ?, M50, M48, M42, M36, M32, M28, 18, 20 M39, M49, M43, ?, 15, 17, 19, 21 an?" indicates a pole with no visible number All banners will be double sided so that they will look the same from both sides.
