Dear Sandy:
Thank you for your continued generosity toward the support of the Alexander W. Kemp
playground. The city has recently done extensive repairs and maintenance, with
additional work planned this year. Your donation will enable us to maintain the
playground at a high level of safety and useability.
In 2023 the Public Works Department performed significant wood repairs to the dragon
structure, playhouse, log post climber, log border, tunnel and benches. In the fall of 2024,
Public Works will replace the accessible spin structure due to wear and tear. In addition,
we plan to install a new safety surface around the structure.
Please feel free to reach out to me at kwatkins@cambridgema.gov or [phone removed] if
you have any questions.
Again, thank you for your continued support for the playground.
Sincerely,
Katherine Watkins
Commissioner of Public Works
