Re: Curb Cut Modifications on Binney Street and Cardinal Medeiros Avenue Dear Neighbor, We are writing our abutters as we prepare to file with the City Council to modify curb cuts on Binney Street and Cardinal Medeiros Avenue for our proposed new building at 399 Binney Street. As shown on the enclosed plan, in both instances we will simply widen an existing curb cut and eliminate the others, going down to a total of two from the existing five (two on Binney Street and three on Cardinal Medeiros A venue). This will enhance safety and will look better, too. As part of the curb cut application process, we enclose the City abutter form for you to indicate your approval or disapproval of our request. East Cambridge Planning Team May 19, 2016 To: Rich McKinnon Re: 399 Binney Street, Cambridge, MA Dear Rich, On November 11, 2015 you presented to the ECPT membership the plan for the new buildings and auto entrance/egress at 399 Binney Street. You showed how the curb cuts would be reduced from 5 to 2 and that by eliminating these curb cuts and the driveway into the garage in front of the Kendall Cinema, the plaza area in front of the cinema becomes car-free and eliminates the current car - pedestrian conflict.
