Dear Olivia and Jonathan,
As 40-year residents of 64 Inman Street, we are not direct abutters to 67 Inman St, but
all of us who live at this section of Inman Street often struggle to find parking, especially
if we leave our spaces after 8:30 or 9am and return during the work day. We are very
close to the city hall annex and residents going to that building who drive there most
often will look for resident parking spots, and our street is one that provides those spots.
It can also get especially difficult to find parking on street cleaning days and snow
emergency days-Inman St. is an emergency thoroughfare.
Parking may also get more difficult when the approved bicycle lane is established on
Broadway-certainly assuming it will remove parking spaces on Broadway forcing cars
onto the cross streets for parking. All of us really cannot approve of losing any available
street parking.
We see no reason why 67 Inman St. should be granted this extended curb cut. As Brian
stated, the previous very long-time owner of that house never had difficulty getting into
or out of their driveway-and they are privileged to have a driveway at all. Certainly the
new owner of that house purchased the property knowing what the existing condition is.
Just as a note, in case you are wondering why we (as owners of 64 Inman St) are
concerned given that we have a driveway, On the Rise, facing onto Broadway at the
corner of Inman has a deeded parking easement on our driveway (which constitutes part
of their parking lot) Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:30 pm. Therefore, we
always must park on the street during regular working hours Monday through
Friday. Weekends are not a problem.
We strongly encourage you to deny this request for a curb cut extension from the new
owner of 67 Inman St. Please add our objection to the "permit file" for this request.

My wife, Rebecca, and I own the home at 66 Inman St. and have lived there since 2014 and in Cambridge
since 1997.
Attached please find our completed form in response to the request from the new owners of 67 Inman St.
to extend their curb cutout. As noted on the form, we are opposed to the cutout extension as there is
already a shortage of parking on the street. I would also like to note that the previous owners seemed to
have no trouble getting their vehicle in/out of the driveway. Meanwhile, we regularly have to circle around
the block to find street parking as the street is already so crowded.
We are also concerned about the process for consulting neighbors:
• The mail was sent certified (so I signed for it) but the form does not include any city address
where it should be returned; I've spent considerable time trying to figure out how to raise my
concerns and wonder if this was the intent of the new owners.
• The return address on the certified mail is for 14 Antrim St but it's not clear whether the person
listed on the return address (Gueye Ataie) lives there; his Linkedin profile suggests that he's
based in New York City and works for Limekiln Real Estate, which bills itself as: "an
Alternative Investment Manager that focuses on creative financing solutions in the
multifamily sector through direct lending, high yield securities and special situations." While
out-of-state developers have a right to purchase and renovate homes in our community, I
would expect that Cambridge would consider the perspectives of longtime residents who will
be affected, particularly in situations where single family homes are being converted into
multi-family, as appears to be the case here.
• Our neighbors at 64 Inman and 70 Inman St. did not receive notices of the extension cutout
request
