Dear Neighborhood Representative:
This office is in receipt of a copy of an application from:
Katinka Jeffs for a Curb Cut at the location of 6-R Eaton Street with a Frontage of 15', Setback 10', Distance from
surrounding structures 8', Length 59', Width 11' and a total Square Footage of 649.
The City Council has directed that all curb cut petitions be submitted to the appropriate Neighborhood
Associations for the locality where the curb cut would be made, so that the association may have an opportunity for
review, prior to action by the City Council.
Please indicate by return mail your approval or disapproval of the petition within twenty-one days from the date
of this letter. If the response is "disapproval" please state reasons. Be sure to sign the form and include a daytime phone
number. I have enclosed a self-addressed stamped envelope to facilitate your reply.
As soon as this office has received both the completed application and your neighborhood association response, I
will place the petition on the agenda for the next City Council meeting. If I do not receive a response from your
neighborhood organization by twenty-one days from the date of this letter, I will place the petition on the agenda for the
next City Council meeting.
If your neighborhood association cannot complete its review by twenty-one days from today, you may extend the
reply time another seven days by requesting an extension by letter to me with a copy to the petitioner. However, I urge
you to make every effort to complete your review as soon as possible.

The Traffic, Parking, and Transportation Department
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to request permission to correct the curb cut for my driveway located at 6R Eaton Street,
Cambridge MA, 02139. Currently, the curb cut is very off-center and too narrow. Cars parked on either side of
the driveway often obstruct access, making it impassable with a vehicle.

By widening and centering the curb cut, it will facilitate easier entry and exit for vehicles, enhancing safety and
convenience for both residents and visitors. I have collected permission from all my neighbors, abutters and
property owners across the street who can all clearly see the problem too.

GRANT OF APPURTENANT EASEMENT
At 6 Eaton Street, Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts
Grantor, for One Dollar ($1.00) and other good and valuable consideration, grant to KATINKA
M. JEFFS, individually, Grantee, of 6R Eaton Street, Cambridge, Middlesex County,
Massachusetts, a non-exclusive Appurtenant Easement running with the land, to use that portion
of the Grantor's 6 Eaton Street existing driveway for purposes commonly associated with a
residential driveway, to wit: the ingress, egress, and passing and repassing on foot and by
vehicle.

The boundaries of this easement are as follows:
Beginning at a point on the northwesterly sideline of the driveway on Eaton Street and described
as "EASEMENT" on an "EASEMENT PLAN 6 EATON STREET, CAMBRIDGE, MASS,
Scale: 1" = 10' April 3, 2024" prepared by AGH Engineering, 166 Water Street, Stoughton,
Massachusetts, 02072, a copy of which is appended hereto as an illustrative sketch and affixed
with the Registered Professional Land Surveyor stamp; thence proceeding fifty-three feet (53)
southerly in a straight line along but not touching Building No. 6 to a boundary line between No.
6 and No. 6R; thence turning southeasterly along said boundary line 4.98 feet to a point and
turning fifty-three (53) feet northeasterly to a point, and thence turning west 4.64 feet to the point
of beginning.
Comprising approximately Two-Hundred and Sixty-Three (263) square feet, more or less, and is
identified on said Easement Plan as the "Easement Area."
There shall be no parking within the Easement Area, and the area to the Easement area cannot be
blocked, including the ability to "street-park" and block the easement area. The Grantor and
Grantee shall not allow impediments) within the Easement Area. If the Grantor or Grantee shall
allow impediments in the Easement Area, then the Party being impeded shall notify the impeding
Party of such impediments) and the impeding Party shall remove such impediments) upon
notification. The Grantor and Grantee shall share in the responsibility and costs for removal of
snow and leaves in the "Easement Area" The Grantor or Grantee shall have permission to
perform maintenance and repairs in the "Easement Area" so long as notice is provided to the
other Party at least forty-eight (48) hours ahead of time.
The Grantee shall not install any utilities within the easement; nor shall either party erect any
vertical structures or elements in the "Easement Area" without the advance written pernission of
the oiner party, the Grantee, their heirs, successors, and assigns shall indemnify and hold
harmless the Grantor, their heirs, successors and assigns from any claims of personal injury or
property damage arising out of any acts or omissions occurring within the "Easement Area," to
the fullest extent allowed by law.
