Shuttle Service Discontinued between Frisoli Youth Center & DCR Veterans
Memorial Swimming Pool at Magazine Beach
Dear Neighbor,
Following the completion of an online survey to which 34 residents responded, the City began piloting shuttle
service between the Frisoli Youth Center and the DCR Veterans Memorial Swimming Pool at Magazine Beach on
Saturday, July 16 and Saturday, July 23.
The shuttle pilot was widely publicized on social media, the City’s website, the Cambridge School Department
parent list serve, through notices delivered to residences in the area, and more. Despite the service running both
Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., there were no riders on the first Saturday and just one family of four riders
on the second Saturday.
Based on the evaluation of the pilot and the limited utilization by residents, the City has decided to discontinue this
service, effective immediately.
