Community Foundation Communiy runa MAKING GOOD* Attn: Cambridge City Council 795 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, MA 02138 The Honorable Cambridge City Council, For 109 years, the Cambridge Community Foundation has worked to strengthen the fabric of our city through collective action and shared purpose. Today, as Cambridge grapples with increasing economic disparities and social disconnection, we see everyday heroes making good happen in every corner of our community - and we want to lift them up. The Cambridge Community Foundation requests your support of a series of four lamppost pole banners to be displayed on along Massachusetts Avenue from Hancock Street to Albany Street. These banners are part of our new "Making Good" campaign, which celebrates Cambridge changemakers and invites all residents to join in making Cambridge a city where everyone can thrive. The campaign features three striking photographs of Cantabrigians who exemplify community connection: a street performer in Central Square, a local food entrepreneur, and young people with Cambridge Youth Council building bridges between cultures and community. The fourth banner will feature our bold "Making Good" campaign logo in yellow on a blue background. As a collection, these banners reinforce the idea that everyone can help make good in the city we love. Each banner will include the "Making Good" campaign message and the CCF logo. We propose a 6-month installation beginning 03/14/25 (and coming down 9/2/25). All banners will be produced and installed in accordance with city specifications. CCF will ensure proper insurance coverage. As your community foundation, our role is to think big and take on the city's greatest challenges, and we recognize that we can only do this work through collaboration, partnerships, and pooled resources. We appreciate your support of this work. All best, Lauren Marshall Vice President of Marketing and Civic Engagement
