I am writing to support the "City Manager's Agenda Item #5" in support of Option #1. I support option 1 because it is the safest option for pedestrians and cyclists, which has been supported by a substantial reduction of crashes involving a pedestrian or cyclist since the project was implemented. The creation of the Garden St. separated bike lanes have made a huge difference for my family's ability to get to Danehy Park soccer games and other destinations in North Cambridge safely by bicycle. Since our family does not own a car, our other options are spending an hour by very unreliable public transportation (which includes 2 transfers), or taking an uber or lyft (which is cost prohibitive). The new options 2-4 presented feel very unsafe, and would be compromising safety of pedestrians and bicyclists for the convenience of some drivers. Please prioritize the safety of pedestrians and bicyclists and keep the Option 1 bike lanes. Thank you, Irene Kang 113 7th St. #2 East Cambridge
