Michel Dahan for a Curb Cut at the location of 45 Holden Street with a Frontage of 62.5', Setback 14.5', Distance from
surrounding structures 25', Length 19.5', Width 8' and a total Square Footage of 156.
The City Council has directed that all curb cut petitions be submitted to the appropriate Neighborhood
Associations for the locality where the curb cut would be made, so that the association may have an opportunity for
review, prior to action by the City Council.
Please indicate by return mail your approval or disapproval of the petition within twenty-one days from the date
of this letter. If the response is "disapproval" please state reasons. Be sure to sign the form and include a daytime phone
number. I have enclosed a self-addressed stamped envelope to facilitate your reply.
As soon as this office has received both the completed application and your neighborhood association response, I
will place the petition on the agenda for the next City Council meeting. If I do not receive a response from your
neighborhood organization by twenty-one days from the date of this letter, I will place the petition on the agenda for the

Subject: Curb cut extension project at 45 Holden Street
Dear Katie,
Audrey and I would like to request your help regarding our project to extend our
curb cut in order to facilitate its use. We seek to inform our neighbors on Shady Hill
Square, address any question that may arise, and request their consent.
The main objective for extending the curb cut is to make the existing parking space
easier to use, particularly for drop-off/pickup times by our nanny. Of importance, this
extension does not have any substantial impact on street parking.
We have asked our architect to check the standard size for a street parking spot,
and we can confirm that based on this measure there is not currently the space for
2 spots between the end of Suzanne's curb and the start of ours. Using another
pragmatic measure: we parked our 2 cars unrealistically close to one another, and it
does not fit: the front of one car blocks part of our driveway (please see picture)
even though they were parked very close to each other and starting at the very end
of Suzanne's curb.
Based on this, we believe that this project would not have any substantial impact on
street parking. If anything, it will allow us to use our driveway more easily,
particularly on these days of street cleaning, therefore freeing up space.
For information l am attaching the work done by our architect (plot plan). I remain
available for any clarification you may have, by email or by phone (details below).

confirmation emails to our file with the city.
We would be grateful for a response by the end of next week (August 2nd), as we
intend to submit our application early the week of August 5th.
