Hi Lori,
I’m trying to update our outstanding bond tracker/listing as the prior individual is no longer with CVS.
We’re showing the two attached bonds for separate amounts for two different locations. However, we
currently only have a CVS location at the 6 JFK St in Cambridge. We’re not showing a CVS location at
1390 Massachusetts Ave as we terminated the month-to-month lease on 4/30/2015.
Are you able to confirm that you’re still showing the bond 012023137 for $3K as still being active? Since
CVS doesn’t have signage at this location, I would think this bond should no longer be active?.If it indeed
has been closed, would you please send me the appropriate documentation you may have on file so I can
update our records? I want to ensure our records are in sync with yours.
Thank you,
Samuel Steinberg

00240 - Signage Installation
Hi Sam,
It is my understanding that the City of Cambridge requires a bond to be posted for as the long as the
sign is there. We have another store (CVS 1262) in Cambridge that has a bond for signage that has
been opened since 2014.
Taken from City website:

Subject: RE: Outstanding CVS Performance Bond - Cambridge, MA - Store# 00240 - Signage
Installation
Hi Kim,
I received the guidance below from the City Clerk from Cambridge, MA regarding the $3,000 open
performance bond for signage installation. I’m a little confused why we still have it open if the
signage vendor indicated they completed the work and closed the permits out. Based on the city
clerk’s response below, we would be showing this bond open for the life of the store being open?
Thanks,
Samuel Steinberg

Hi Diane,
I’m hoping you might be able to provide some assistance regarding the release of a performance
bond to CVS for the store located in Cambridge, MA (6 JFK St) for signage installation in the amount
of $3,000 as indicated within the attached. However, based on feedback received below from the
signage vendor, they indicated the signage was installed and the permit was closed out. Would you
happen to have record of this bond being released to CVS? If so, can you please provide any
supporting documentation so we can update our records accordingly.
Thanks,
Samuel Steinberg

Good afternoon,
I don’t have any back up regarding this bond. We completed the scope of work, closed the
permits, and were paid by CVS. What documentation do you need to close it out?
