NOVEMBER 7, 2016
WHEREAS:
Section 193 and Section 194 of Chapter 218 of the Acts of 2016 “An Act Modernizing
Municipal Finance and Government” gives municipalities the authority to reduce speed
limits on all ways other than state highways; and
WHEREAS:
The acceptance of said Section 193 and Section 194 would authorize the Director of
Traffic, Parking and Transportation to promulgate traffic regulations to reduce speed
limits as permitted under the Act; now therefore be it
ORDERED:
That the City Council go on record accepting the provisions of Section 193 and Section
194 of Chapter 218 of the Acts of 2016 “An Act Modernizing Municipal Finance
and Government.”
In City Council November 7, 2016.
Adopted by the affirmative vote of eight members.
