COUNCILLOR TOOMEY
WHEREAS:
Cambridge Street has recently undergone a redesign to ensure the safety of all modes
of transportation; and
WHEREAS:
Due to the redesign, there is a possibility of emergency vehicles having a difficult time
navigating these roads; and
WHEREAS:
The location of the Fire Department Headquarters at the corner of Quincy and
Cambridge Street is quite a distance from the East Cambridge and the Port area; now
therefore be it
ORDERED:
That the City Manager be and hereby is requested to determine the feasibility of
procuring additional fire apparatus, especially rescue vehicles and ambulances, in the
East Cambridge and the Port area.
