The CRA has made measurable progress towards achieving the outlined vision and goals of its 2014 Strategic Plan and is gearing up for a new round of strategic planning. Through the sale of development rights, made possible with the approval of the MD Infill Development Concept Plan and the Cambridge Center Development Agreement, the near-term fiscal resources of the CRA have been secured. With these funds, the CRA has committed to creating the Kendall Square Transit Enhancement Fund, contributing to the Foundry redevelopment, initiating the renovation of 105 Windsor Street, investing in Just-A-Start affordable housing improvements within the Wellington- Harrington area, and numerous design improvements in the Kendall Square Urban Renewal Area. The CRA values its strong partnership with the City and we look forward to this continued collaboration. In anticipation of amendments to the urban renewal regulations under consideration by the Department of Housing and Community Development (760 CMR 12.00), the CRA is providing this report to you and the full Cambridge City Council, in addition to the City Manager.
