Kelley, City Councillor Date: June 18, 2018 Subject: Gun Violence in Cambridge Fellow Council Members, With the increase in gun violence activity, I’ve been trying to get a better understanding of the incidents as a whole, as well as looking at them individually. Police response is a natural and needed responsive measure, but I am concerned about over-policing, and not taking proactive steps in considering other measures to mitigate gun violence in Cambridge.
