City of Cambridge O-16 ORIGINAL ORDER IN CITY COUNCIL April 8, 2019 COUNCILLOR KELLEY WHEREAS: Cambridge’s Open Data Portal is a vital and edifying public resource for City staff, residents, businesses, and institutions; and WHEREAS: The availability of information promotes transparency, community engagement, cross- departmental cooperation, and data-driven decision making by City staff and policy makers; and WHEREAS: In some instances, it takes several months to a year to update online datasets; and WHEREAS: The “Cambridge Parking Tickets” dataset, for example, was last updated in May 2018; now therefore be it ORDERED: That the City Manager be and hereby is requested to confer with the Police Department about updating the “Cambridge Parking Tickets” dataset in the Open Data Portal with the most recent information available.
