That the City Manager is requested to provide an update from Eversource and any other relevant City departments regarding the finance, health and safety, building design and the long-term electricity needs that was requested by the City Council before the construction of a substation on Fulkerson Street in East Cambridge

City of Cambridge O-2 ORIGINAL ORDER IN CITY COUNCIL April 22, 2019 COUNCILLOR TOOMEY COUNCILLOR MALLON MAYOR MCGOVERN COUNCILLOR SIDDIQUI WHEREAS: In February 2019, the City Council unanimously voted for the City to confer with Eversource and the appropriate City departments to undertake a series of studies and analyses related to finance, health and safety, building design and the long-term electricity needs before the construction of a substation on Fulkerson Street in East Cambridge; and WHEREAS: To date, the City Council has not heard back and Eversource has not provided any updates on what their current plans are; now therefore be it ORDERED: That the City Manager be and hereby is instructed to request an update from Eversource and any other relevant City departments on this matter; and be it further ORDERED: That this matter be referred to the Public Safety Committee, Health and Environment Committee, and the Transportation/Public Utilities Committee for the purpose of scheduling a joint hearing to discuss the update.
