May 16, 2019 To the Honorable City Councilors of Cambridge City Council City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, MA 02139 Dear Council Members: I am writing to respectfully request your permission to hang banners to celebrate and promote the Inman Square commercial district, as a part of the city's Inman Square Construction Mitigation efforts. The banners would be hung in the Spring of 2019, and be taken down no earlier than that Fall of 2023. The request includes twenty-five (25) 30" × 60" street pole banners to be hung on poles in the neighborhood. The banners will be double sided so they will look the same from both sides. Enclosed are the design for the street pole banners and the exact street poles we propose to use. (The design of the street pole came from an Inman Square business, Albertine Press.) A map of street poles for both this application and the Inman Square application can be found here: Thank you so much for your consideration of this request, and for the Council's support of this neighborhood's commercial district. Sincerely, Pardis Saffari Senior Economic Development Manager Community Development Department City of Cambridge
