Zoning Petition The undersigned registered voters of Cambridge, hereby petitions the Cambridge City Council as follows: To see if the City Council will vote to amend section 2.000 of the Zoning ordinance by editing the definition of "Family" to remove restrictions on unrelated family members, as shown: Family. One or more persons occupying a dwelling unit and living as a single nonprofit housekeeping unit.; previded that a group of four or mere persons whe are not within the seeend degree of kinship shall not be deemed to censtitute a family. Notwithstanding the definition in the preceding paragraph, a family shall be deemed to include four or more persons not within the second degree of kinship occupying a dwelling unit and living as a single, nonprefit housekeeping unit, if said seeupants are handleapped persons as defined in Title VIII of the Civil Rights Aet of 1968, as amended by the "Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988."
