To the Honorable, the City Council:
Re: Surveillance Technology Impact Reports
Pursuant to the Surveillance Technology Ordinance, Chapter 2.128 of the Cambridge

the City Council for review and discussion at the January 22, 2020 Public Safety Committee
meeting (the "Committee Meeting"):
• Surveillance Technology Impact Reports ("STIRs"), for the School Department and
Fire Department, describing Surveillance Technologies which are subject to the
Ordinance, and which require Council approval.
I ask that the Committee favorably recommend the attached STIRs to the City Council.
I look forward to reviewing these documents in detail with you at the Committee Meeting
and to answering any questions you may have.
Sincerel
