City of Cambridge Executive Department ,^r -iH*i?-. '"?'•** <-'~^ LOUIS A. DePASQUALE LISA C. PETERSON ' City Manager Deputy City Manager January 22, 2020 To the Honorable, the City Council: Re: Supplemental Reports on Certain Police Department Surveillance Technologies I am submitting supplements ("Supplements") to thirteen (13) Police Department Surveillance Technology Impact Reports ("STIRs") to the City Council in connection with the January 22, 2020 Public Safety Committee meeting (the "Committee Meeting"). STIRs relating to these Technologies were submitted to the City Council on December 9, 2019 and are on the Committee Meeting agenda. I believe the Supplements will assist the Public Safety Committee in its review. Supplements are submitted for the following Surveillance Technologies: • BRIC Omega Dashboard • Coplink • CLEAR • Focused Deterrence Database • Digital Intelligence Workstation • Dell Laptop BCERT • Magnet Forensics - Axiom • Getdata Forensic Explorer • Shotspotter • Keltech Covert Streetlight Camera • CSA Pole Camera • I.V.C. • Case Cracker The Supplements are added onto the original STIRs for each of these technologies. The number of each STIR is indicated along with the additional and/or updated information, which is shown in orange text and denoted by a line in the left margin. I look forward to reviewing these documents with you at the Committee Meeting and to answering any questions you may have. Sincerity, ^^ ^^^- Louis A.
