Good Afternoon. Welcome to this afternoon's meeting of the Housing Committee. The call of today's hearing is as follows: "The Housing Committee shall meet to discuss Mr. Louis Bucci, the City Manager's candidate for the open Cambridge Housing Authority Board position, and to receive a report from Maura Pensak, the Housing Liaison to the City Manager's Office, on her proposed priorities for the remainder of the 2020-2021 City Council term." We are going to start this meeting by asking either Mike Johnston, Executive Director of the CHA, or our City Manager to introduce Mr. Bucci to us, and we will also ask Mr. Bucci to share a few remarks with us if he wishes. We will then vote on whether to forward his name to the full City Council with a favorable recommendation. After that vote, we shall ask Maura Pensak, who hit the ground
running this term in her new role as Housing Liaison to the City Manager's Office, to share some of what she views as the greatest priorities in her portfolio that we should be focusing on in the coming months and throughout the remainder of this term. Up first, though, I am going to ask if my co-chair, Councilor Sobrinho-Wheeler, has any opening remarks he'd like to share, and then we will open the floor for Public Comment. Councilor Sobrinho-Wheeler, the floor is yours.
