Lt. Mochi stated that the front desk clerk, Ofc. Medrano-Fuentes reported that an
ICE agent came into the police station and after the agent used the restroom by the
records room, Officer Medrano-Fuentes stated that the ICE agent came up to her
unsolicited and stated to her “Hey do you know where we can get some
intelligence?” Officer Medrano-Fuentes stated to them that she could not help
them, and they exited the station.

Officers were on a call for service at 1414 Cambridge St. (Incident #25-5858).
Prior to clearing the call, a dodge charger with a MA REG, with visible LED lights
in the front windshield, parked on the corner of Cambridge St. and Fayette St. in
the bike lane.
When the call was cleared and I was walking to my marked police cruiser, 2
individuals with their badges clearly displayed exited the dodge charger and
approached me. They asked if my body camera was on to which I advised that it
was not. This was when these individuals stated that they work for ICE. They
stated that they were in the area and asked me if I had any intel for them. I
responded by saying, "No." After this was said, they returned to their vehicle and
drove away.

On Friday, October 10, 2025, Mr. Freydy Raphael Mejia, 27 YOA, was bailed on
personal recognizance for shoplifting at approximately 8:47pm. He was processed
by bail commissioner Josh Gonzalez in the normal manner and walked out of the
front door of 125 Sixth Street. Upon exit of 125 Sixth Street, he turned left, and
ICE agents appeared to walk behind him. After about 10 steps he began to run,
and a foot pursuit followed with Mr. Mejia and ICE agents taking a left on Bent
Street towards Fulkerson. This was all captured on our in-house CCTV.
At approximately 8:57pm Four (4) ICE agents and Mr. Mejia Walk back down
Bent Street towards the front of 125 Sixth Street. Mr. Mejia appears to be in
handcuffs. Two (2) ICE agents then appear to pose with Mr. Mejia directly in
front of the front door 125 Sixth Street and take a picture. ICE agents then move
Mr. Mejia and two (2) agents to the passenger side of a Cambridge Police cruiser
and appear to pose and take another picture with Mr. Mejia.

Immediately after this, they loaded Mr. Mejia into a dark SUV and pull away from
125 Sixth Street.

At approximately 16:21 hours on October 10, 2025, I, the Shift Commander,
received a phone call from an individual identifying himself as an agent with
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The agent was inquiring about the
recent arrest of Freydy Mejia, who had been taken into custody for shoplifting at
the Target Store located on Massachusetts Avenue.
No information regarding the arrest or subject was disclosed to the ICE agent
during the call. I provided the caller with my departmental email address after he
stated he would forward his credentials for verification.
Following the call, I immediately notified Deputy Yam of the contact and the
nature of the inquiry. As of this report, I have not received any follow-up email or
credentials from the individual identifying as an ICE agent.

On Wednesday 10/22/2025 at 0720 hrs. Lt. P. Gallagher received a call from Ice
Agent Duque who was inquiring if we had a prisoner by the name of Djeretou
Dieng in custody. I told Officer Duque I was not authorized to release any
information on any prisoner in custody. He told me the information was time
sensitive for immigration purposes. No information was released, and the call was
terminated.

On Wednesday 10/30/25 at 14:58 hrs. Lt. S. Norton received a call at the desk
from ICE who was already aware that arrestee Brian Buhamizo was refused at
court. They inquired as when the bail commissioner usually arrives, I informed
them we cannot provide any information. He understood and advised they may
post a team outside of the station.

On Friday 11/7/2025 at 18:43 hrs. Lt. W. Bates received a call at the desk from an
ICE agent regarding a prisoner in custody. The agent inquired whether the party in
question was still in custody, and per policy Lt. Bates advised the agent that he
was unable to furnish any information.

On Wednesday 12/10/25 at approx. 6:00pm, after ICE agents called the booking
desk and transferred to the Shift Commander and then hung up, two ICE agents
came to the front lobby and requested to speak with the shift commander after
being refused information from the front desk officer. Lt. Norton confirmed that
we were unable to share any information about whether we had a person in
custody or not. They requested to know where our sallyport was located, Lt.
Norton further told them that he cannot provide any information to them per policy
and the city ordinance. They requested Lt. Norton’s name and badge number,
which was provided, and the agents left the lobby. RE: Arrestee – Walfi Pena

At 9:32pm Officer McCarthy from ICE called the shift commander’s office
inquiring about prisoner Thais Varela Silva. Silva who was under arrest for
domestic A&B and strangulation. Duty chief was notified via phone. Booking
attached. No information was given to Officer McCarthy.
