Pursuant to the Surveillance Technology Ordinance, Chapter 2.128 of the Cambridge Municipal Code
(the Ordinance), I am submitting a summary report of all requests for approval of Surveillance
Technology Impact Reports (STIRs) received by the City Council since the last summary report date.
This report is for the Council’s use under Section 2.128.060(D) of the Ordinance, which requires the
Council to publicly release such a summary report.
No Police Department use of Surveillance Technology in Exigent Circumstances
To date, all STIRs have been submitted pursuant to Section 2.128.030 of the Ordinance. No STIRs have
been submitted pursuant to Section 2.128.040.

whether the Council approved, disapproved or required modifications to the STIR.
