CMA 2026-173 IN CITY COUNCIL June 8, 2026 To the Honorable, the City Council: In response to Awaiting Report 2026-39 regarding preparations for the City’s LGBTQ+ Pride celebration, the Public Works and Transportation Departments and the Women’s Commission report the following: As a part of Cambridge’s June 20th Pride Celebration, the crosswalk at the intersection of Mass Ave and Inman Street will be refreshed and the Public Works Department’s Electrical division will illuminate City Hall with the colors of the Pride flag. This year’s Pride celebration will surround City Hall on June 20th from 11am-3pm. Among additional offerings, attendees of the event can expect: • Tabling by various organizations from the community in front of City Hall. Attendees can collect stamps from the organizations they engage with. • A welcome table, Mayor’s table with Cambridge Pride swag, food, and a stage on Inman Street. There will be a DJ, a band, and a ballroom performer throughout the day as well as speeches and awards toward the beginning. • A Kid Zone with a bounce house, face painters, balloon artist, ice cream truck, and games on Dottie Doyle Way. • Multiple screenings of the short film “The Dad’s” inside City Hall.
