To the Honorable, the City Council:
I am hereby requesting the appropriation of the Student Awareness of Fire Education (SAFE)
Grant from the State Executive Office of Public Safety, Department of Fire Services in the
amount of $9,800.60 to the Grant Fund Fire Salaries and Wages account ($7,800.60) and to the
Grant Fund Fire Other Ordinary Maintenance account ($2,000.00) to provide funds to continue
the SAFE Program that educates students in the dangers of fire and its effect on people, property,
and the environment.
