CMA 2026-227 IN CITY COUNCIL August 3, 2026 To the Honorable, the City Council: I am hereby requesting the appropriation of $6,823,498.00 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Continuum of Care (CoC) program, to the Grant Fund Housing Department Salary and Wages account ($365,665.00), to the Grant Fund Housing Department Other Ordinary Maintenance account ($6,447,833.00), and to the Grant Fund Housing Department Travel and Training account ($10,000.00). This grant was awarded under the Federal Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Continuum of Care Program competition. The Continuum of Care Program is authorized by the HEARTH Act of 2009. The Continuum of Care Program funds will be contracted with homeless services providers and cover the costs related to serving homeless persons. The specific projects to be funded have been approved by HUD as part of the competitive award process. Funds will also be used to cover grant administrative costs.
