Condolences to the family of Corey J. Headley.

COUNCILLOR FLAHERTY
WHEREAS:
The City Council is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Corey J. Headley of
Cambridge, on July 7, 2026, at the age of 55; and
WHEREAS:
Corey Headley was a loving father to Tia Ferrie, Corey Headley Jr., and Kylah
Headley, each of whom he cherished deeply; and
WHEREAS:
He was the beloved son of Cheryl Headley Moore and the late Joseph Cole; the
devoted fiancé of Nancy Berberena; and a beloved brother to Anthony Cole, Tatiana
Cole, Tashun Cole, Javon Cole, and stepbrother to Jimon Greene; and
WHEREAS:
Corey is further remembered as the dear stepson of Garry Moore, the Godson of
Richard and Cheryl Harding and the late Colita Dottin Harris; and
WHEREAS:
Corey was a cherished member of a large and loving extended family, including
adored nephew of Marlene Crawford; Sharon Freeman and her late husband Ronald
Sr.; Sheila Burwell and her husband Cleave; Shawn Headley; Sonja Scoby and her
late husband Charles; Kevin Headley; the late Saundra Graham; Charles Postell,
survived by his wife Martha; Val Postell; Don Postell and his late wife Eva; and
WHEREAS:
Corey is also survived by many cousins, relatives, and friends who mourn his passing
and remember him with affection, admiration, and gratitude; and
WHEREAS:
Corey’s life was marked by deep family devotion, personal resilience, and the love he
shared with all who knew him; now therefore be it
RESOLVED:
That the City Council go on record extending its deepest condolences to the family
and friends of Corey J. Headley during this time of profound loss; and be it further
RESOLVED:
That the City Clerk be and hereby is requested to forward a suitably engrossed copy
of this resolution to the family of Corey J. Headley on behalf of the entire City
Council.
