CMA 2026-260 IN CITY COUNCIL September 14, 2026 To the Honorable, the City Council: I am hereby requesting the appropriation of the Massachusetts Formula Grant, in the amount of $302,640.00, funded by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Aging and Independence to the Grant Fund Department of Human Service Programs Salary and Wages account ($190,000.00), to the Grant Fund Department of Human Service Programs Other Ordinary Maintenance account ($99,640.00), and to the Grant Fund Department of Human Service Programs Travel and Training account ($13,000.00). This grant is awarded annually to the Department of Human Service Programs Council on Aging Division and is used to provide funding for department staff and services, including transportation for seniors and meals at the Cambridge Senior Center. Funds also support instructors and group facilitators who provide services in-person, as well as virtually to seniors. Very truly yours, Yi-An Huang City Manager
