Condolences to the family of Juliette Love.

COUNCILLOR SIMMONS
WHEREAS:
The City Council was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Karen Juliette Love
on August 20, 2026 at the age of 61; and
WHEREAS:
Born on December 22, 1964, in St. Michael, Barbados, Juliette was the beloved
daughter of Vera M. Yarde Alleyne and the late Fitz Evans Alleyne, and she carried
throughout her life a profound devotion to family, loyalty, and love; and
WHEREAS:
Juliette shared a beautiful and inseparable 26-year journey with her devoted wife,
Pamela Love, and together they built a warm home and a loving foundation for their
blended family, including their children Kameel, Janeisa, Pryce, Kyle, Shavonna,
Terrance, Steven, and Clyde, and their cherished grandchildren; and
WHEREAS:
Juliette built a respected career in Procurement and Logistics, serving as a Buyer at
Teradyne Inc. and later at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, where she
brought diligence, professionalism, and care to her work; and
WHEREAS:
Juliette opened both her heart and her home to foster children, offering care,
encouragement, and a sense of belonging, and she and Pamela further served their
community by founding Faces of Hope Advocacy Group to support and advocate for
individuals and families; and
WHEREAS:
Her passion for life was further evident in her love of reading, amateur photography,
dancing, and creating cherished memories with family and friends at beaches from
Nantasket to Barbados; and
WHEREAS:
Juliette is survived by her beloved wife, Pamela Love; her mother, Vera M. Yarde
Alleyne; her sons, Kameel Lashley and his wife, Amber, of Franklin, Massachusetts,
Pryce Love, and Kyle Love; her daughter, Janeisa Lashley and her husband, Themba,
of Baltimore, Maryland; her stepdaughter, Shavonna Love Haamid and her husband,
Ahmad, of High Point, North Carolina; and her stepsons, Terrance Morrant Love Sr.
and his wife, Kristine, of Port Richey, Florida, Steven Love of Greensboro, North
Carolina, and First Lieutenant Clyde Love Sr. and his wife, Joanna, of Boston,
Massachusetts; and
WHEREAS:
Juliette is also survived by her sister, Shonnelle Aubrey and her husband, Thomas, of
Boston; her brother, Rickie Alleyne and his wife, Khanyisa, of Boston; her
grandchildren, Musa and Mecca Mkhatshwa; Elijah and Layla, with twins expected in
December; Darian and Specialist Darius Newkirk Love; Airelle Newkirk; Aaliyah
and Amir Haamid; Terrance Jr. and Jaden Morrant Love; and Aaliyah, Clyde Jr., and
Kylo Love; as well as her extended sons, Nash Ballio of Norwood, Massachusetts,
and Charles Lewinsky of Canada; and
WHEREAS:
Juliette’s memory will further be cherished by her nephews, Jaheem Alleyne, and
Jonas Tucker Alleyne and his wife, Marissa, and their children, Thea and Cairo; her
niece, Lexis Alleyne, and her daughter, Laylani Williams; her cousins, Deborah
“Dee” Moore, Richard, Warren, Vassco, Julie, Michael, and Sheena Yarde, and
Annette Corbin; her uncle, Larry Yarde; and her aunts, Cora Yarde and Colleen
Corbin-Worrell; and
WHEREAS:
Juliette also leaves dear friends Patricia A. Mackey, Esq.; retired Sergeant Addison
Scanterbury and Samantha Moore; Christine Elow; James “Kaarim” Elow; Ronda
Martinez; Mattie Hayes; E. Denise Simmons; Mary and George Collins; William and
Genie Watson; Karen and Kim Scanterbury; Kesha Brown; Sonja Tucker; David and
Shanta Sampson; Renee Banks; and a host of other relatives and friends, all of whom
will carry forward her kindness, strength, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those
she loved; now therefore be it
RESOLVED:
That the City Council go on record extending its deepest condolences to the family of
Juliette Love for their tremendous loss; and be it further
RESOLVED:
That the City Clerk be and hereby is requested to forward a suitably engrossed copy
of this resolution to the family of Juliette Love on behalf of the entire City Council.
