The supplemental appropriation of $12,500 to the 2007 Shannon Grant received from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council through the Executive Office of Pubic Safety to the Police Department Salary and Wages account and will be used to support additional youth violence prevention and anti-gang initiatives by the Police Department by increasing Police visibility, building enforcement and intervention capacities and supporting gang interdiction activities
