The appropriation of the Adult Basic Education (ABE) grant received from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) in the amount of $637,443.00 to the Grant Fund Human Service Programs Salary and Wages account ($543,863.00) and to the Grant Fund Human Service Programs Other Ordinary Maintenance account ($92,410.00) and to the Grant Fund Human Service Programs Travel and Training account ($1,170.00) and will be used to funds the salary costs for direct service staff, contractual hours for student leadership projects employing CLC students as job mentors and health advisors, mileage for in-state DESE meetings and for partial funding of conference expenses as well as providing funding for educational supplies and other operating costs
