The appropriation of the Adult Basic Education (ABE) grant received from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) in the amount of $652,931.00 to the Grant Fund Human Service Programs Salary and Wages account ($558,173.00) and to the Grant Fund Human Service Programs Other Ordinary Maintenance account ($93,178.00) and to the Grant Fund Human Service Programs Travel and Training account ($1,580.00) which will provide funds for Community Learning Center (CLC) classes to adults who wish to improve their computer, reading, writing and math skills and/or to obtain a GED or Cambridge Adult Diploma as well as English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes for immigrants who need to improve their language skills
