The appropriation of a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Violence Against Women (OVW) for $285,000 to the Grant Fund Police Department Salaries and Wages account ($30,000), Other Ordinary Maintenance account ($204,500), Travel and Training account ($12,000), and the Extraordinary Expenditure account ($38,500). This award has been made to the City from the OVW under their grant program to Encourage Arrest Policies and Enforcement of Protection Orders Program which will be used to develop and strengthen effective responses to violence against women
