The appropriation of additional ARRA Race to the Top (RTTT) funds from the U.S. Department of Education in the amount of $38,922 for a new total of $245,212, with $25,213 allocated to the Grant Fund School Salary & Wages account and $13,709 to the Grant Fund School Other Ordinary Maintenance account as well as a transfer of $26,087 to the Grant Fund School Other Ordinary Maintenance account from the Grant Fund School Travel & Training account which supports the continuation of the alignment of the district's ELA, math, science, and social studies curriculum to the revised MA Curriculum Frameworks and the training of teachers in these new standards and in the Understanding by Design (UBD) Curriculum model; implementation of the new State Administrator and Teacher evaluation system; and continued participation in DESE Curriculum committees and DESE-sponsored courses in coaching, subject areas, and mentoring
